The basic structure of a DC brushed motor: armature, field magnets, collector ring and brushes.
1、Armature: A soft iron core with multiple coils wound around its axis that can rotate.
2. Field magnet: A powerful permanent magnet or electromagnet that generates a magnetic field.
3. Commutator: Two semi-circular commutator rings are connected to the ends of the coils and rotate with the coils. It serves as a reversing device to change the direction of the current. Every half turn (180 degrees), the direction of the current on the coil changes once.
4. Brush: Usually made of carbon, it contacts the fixed position of the commutator brush and is used to connect to the power source.
