Resolvers Application fields:
1. Servo control system: It is used to measure the rotational angle displacement and angular velocity of rotating objects, enabling precise position control.
2. Robot system: Provides precise angle feedback for the robot's joints, ensuring the motion accuracy of the robot.
3. Automotive Field: In electric vehicles, rotary transformers are used as position and speed sensors to provide crucial information for motor control. Additionally, in hybrid vehicles, rotary transformers also play a significant role in detecting the rotational speed of the electric motor.
4. Industrial Automation: In equipment such as CNC machines, injection molding machines, elevators, and robotic arms, rotary transformers are used to accurately measure angular velocity and position.
5. Transportation sector: In fields such as railway transportation, agricultural and construction equipment, buses and heavy trucks, golf carts and low-speed electric vehicles, rotary transformers have also been widely used.
6. Aerospace and Military Fields: Due to its high reliability and precision, the rotary transformer is widely used in angle and position detection systems in the aerospace and military fields.

Standard procedure for on-site troubleshooting
1. DC Resistance Measurement of Windings
The resistance values of the EXC, SIN, and COS phases have a deviation of less than 5% from the nominal; insulation between phases and to ground is over 100 MΩ; short circuits or open circuits directly indicate damage to the main body.
2. No-Load Waveform Test
Rotate the rotor under rated excitation and observe the symmetry of the sine and cosine waveforms as well as any residual zero voltage.
3. Distinguishing Fault Sources
If the waveform itself is distorted → the resolver body or assembly eccentricity;
If the waveform is clean but the controller decoding is abnormal → cables, RDC circuit, or ground interference;
If errors increase under dynamic speed → mechanical misalignment or poor brush contact (for brushed types).
